GOLF COURSE

Clovelly Country Club - Dr Charles Molteno Murray
18 holes, par 70
Opened: 1934
Distance: 5869 m
The course lies between Fish Hoek and Kalk Bay on the Cape Peninsula in the picturesque Clovelly valley in scenic nature.

The softly undulating grounds are bordered in the north by mountains covered in Fynbos and by sand dunes in the south. In some places one has a view of the Indian Ocean.

The clubhouse above the course is generously laid out and has a colonial flair, has a new practice range, very good restaurant and lounge

Royal Cape Golf Course - Sir Henry D'oyley Torrens

18 holes, par 72
Opened: 1885

Royal Cape Golf Club is the oldest golf club in South Africa and represents a grand golfing experience with a brilliant golf course and exceptional clubhouse and facilities.

The course is nicely located in Wynberg, just off the M5 which makes it a 20 minute drive from Cape Town CBD and a 30 minute drive from the Winelands.
The course is characterised by tree-lined fairways with numerous ponds, abundant bird life and brilliant USGA spec greens. There are so many great holes on this course; the 14th was rated as the best 14th hole in the country and it is a dogleg right that requires an accurate drive between lakes on either side of the fairway.

De Zalze Golf Club - Peter Matkovich
18 holes, par 72
Opened: 2000
Distance: 5428 Yards

The De Zalze Golf Course situated within the De Zalze Winelands Golf Estate was designed by Peter Matkovich (course architect for Leopard Rock, Arabella & Pinnacle Point amongst others) who made the most of the stunning setting and created a course that places a premium on accuracy. The course has an excellent mix of parkland holes with its main challenges presented in the form of the water features on several holes, as well as the Oak tree lined Blaauwklippen River which winds its way through the Golf Estate and comes into play at various intervals.
