|Tobs wins Best Kenya Golf Award

Just weeks after Vipingo Ridge was named as East Africa’s first PGA approved championship golf course did Tob Cohen’s Kenya Golf Safaris reclaim top spot at the recently ended World Golf Awards 2016 held last night at the Conrad in the Algarve / Portugal.
The 3rd World Golf Awards serve to celebrate and reward excellence in golf tourism, world class courses, specialised golf tour operators and golf destinations. Golf tourism constitutes a vital segment in the global travel and tourism marketplace.
The 2016 World Golf Awards focused on the leading 130 nations which are shaping the future of this dynamic industry while celebrating and rewarding excellence across golf courses, golf tour operators and the golfing destinations throughout the world,
The worldwide voting process began already on March 1st and votes were cast by professionals working within the golf travel and tourism industry, senior executives, travel buyers, tour operators, agents and media professionals.

In neighbouring Uganda has the Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa now a 9 hole course operational with the second 9 being completed towards the end of 2017, then also adding a major new championship course to the Ugandan golfing scene.
