Tobs is Director of the Board of Kenya’s Home of Golf: Muthaiga Golf Club, the founder/ first Chairman of the Kenya Golf Marketing Alliance (1997-2009), the first  Chairman of the Kenya Chapter of IAGTO ( 1997 – 2010) and was instrumental in winning IAGTO’s Award for the Best Undiscovered Golf Destination of the year 2009.

Tobs organized many golf events, including the IAGTO Steering Committees meeting  which was "the most spectacular Steering Committee event ever staged" as per IAGTO's Chief executive Mr. Peter Walton's letter.

Tobs hosted the KLM Kenya Open in March 2009, the Kenya Airways Invitational in November 2009 and the KLM Invitational Amateur Golf Tournament in March 2010 among many other sponsored golf tournaments in Kenya.

Kenya won IAGTO’s award of Best Undiscovered Golf Destination of the Year 2009.
