Each room is individually designed around the natural contours & of the hillside and encompasses a fusion of quartz rock, pale thatch, smooth fig-wood and flowing white walls. Water flows through the rooms into private plunge pools beside which you can relax on spacious sofas, just enjoying Africa. A shady lounge and dining area overlooks a long horizon pool and here you call enjoy fine cuisine, cold drinks & and endless vistas. Shompole is designed for relaxation and we have a beauty therapist to aid this pastime! However there is plenty on offer for the more active who can enjoy early morning walks, mountain bike rides or trips to see the flamingoes at Lake Natron. The cool of the evening often finds people setting off for a game drive in the conservancy in search of the plentiful wildlife followed by a sundowner on the plains as the night noises encroach. Night game drives are very rewarding with bat-eared fox, aardwolf, striped hyena and serval cat among the rare nocturnal creatures that we often see. The bird life of the area is as varied as the topography and slow walks in the acacia woodland or drives to the swamp are always very enjoyable. For those craving total privacy and personal indulgence, Little Shompole is the place to be! Two stunning suites of incredible proportions with 9'x9' beds, large private cool-pools, sun-decks and spacious bathrooms nestle against the hillside.
