1
From
the Air Kenya terminus at Wilson Airport, you will fly to Lamu.
LAMU:
This
is the most northern coastal town, the emphasis is on Swahili culture in the
streets of Lamu or at the sites of historical ruins or monuments. One can also
explore the coral reef, sail on a dhow or relax by the beach.
Lamu town is situated on Lamu island and the only transport is donkeys and dhows.
This ancient town has narrow winding streets, historic mosques, a fort and colorful
markets.
Lamu is a UNESCO heritage site and beautiful to visit, No golf, but a very different
experience all together Kipugani is the place of choice.
KIPUNGANI
BAY HOTEL ****
Upon
arrival, you will be met and whisked away by boat to Kipungani
Bay Hotel. This is the ultimate relaxation spot - a golden
beach on the fabled island of Lamu just off the Kenyan coast.
There is simple Robinson Crusoe type of accommodation but with
an awsome sea
food menu. The swimming pool refreshes any time when you feel hot.
There are 15 spacious "grass villas" en suite bathrooms featuring showers,
hand wash basins and toilet. The private beach bandas also feature electric light,
ceiling fans, writing desk and funzi beds on the spacious verandas. These palm
leaf cottages are spacious, airy and wonderfully simple. Doors and windows don't
exist yet privacy is guaranteed. There are no other hotels anywhere nearby
and beach boys are unheard of. Relax by the pool and soak up the sun and windsurf.
Enjoy the best freshest seafood in Kenya. Lamu Crab is famous.

Relax by the pool, go for a dip in the ocean, or visit Lamu town.

transferred by boat to Lamu for your flight to Nairobi.
