DESCRIPTION
The lodge is situated in the heart of the private and exclusive 18,000 acre Oserian Wildlife Sanctuary, and is home to an astonishing range of wildlife. It overlooks a busy waterhole with the Mau Escarpment as a backdrop. Chui Lodge is crafted from simple bush stone, local Acacia, Leleshwa and Olive woods with a beautiful twisted Marula roof. The swimming pool also has great views of the waterhole and the Escarpment. Highly trained professional chefs deliver an exquisite array of cuisine. Fresh vegetables & dairy products are produced on the farm nearby and therefore obtained daily.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation consists of 6 (Presently being increased by 2 additional) exclusive luxury individual cottages. Each cottage has its own distinctive character, en-suite bathroom with marble basin tops and a delightful veranda with its own view. In all but 1 cottage there are fireplaces. Four of our Banda’s have magnificent four poster king size beds whilst the remaining 2 twin rooms have generously sized singles. All textiles in the lodge are original batik artworks done on site. The warm shades enhance the earthy colours of the ochre enriched walls.

Chui Lodge is run by a professional management team. The staff are all locally employed from the area.
ITINERARIES
The lodge tailor makes activities to suit each guest’s requirements.
A minimum of 2 nights is recommended to fully enjoy and explore the area.

The lodge is open all year round.
CLIMATE
The climate is mainly warm days with cool evenings. Rainfall is in March, April and November.
CONSERVATION
Our commitment to conservation includes the careful management of both the 18,000 acre Oserian Wildlife Sanctuary and 3,000 acre Wildlife Corridor.
Oserian Wildlife Sanctuary hosts over 45 different species of mammals including several non-indigenous species that were imported in order to contribute to the survival of their species. Included in these are endangered species such as White Rhino, Grevy’s Zebra, Cheetah & the infrequent sightings of African Wild Dogs. Biesa Oryx, Greater Kudu, Wildebeest & Topi as well as all the species that are indigenous to the area co-exist in order to bring together elements of Kenya’s renowned Maasai Mara & Samburu districts.
Oserian Game corridor is one of the last of its kind remaining in Kenya. The corridor allows all the wildlife from both Longonot & Hells Gate National Parks access to the lake & pastures beyond.
With >320 bird species the corridor & sanctuary are also an ornithological paradise. Amongst the bird species is the “Grey Crested Helmet Shrike”; one of 4 endemic bird species in this country & the “last” remaining sustainable population on earth.

NB: regretfully children under 10 yrs will not be accepted.
ACCESS
- 25 minutes by private charter from Nairobi, the lodge has its own airstrip.
- Daily scheduled air service by Safarilink to Loldia airstrip and a 30 minute drive to the lodge.
- 2 hours drive from Nairobi.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
