DAY 1
On arrival in Nairobi, you will be met by Tob’s team and transferred to Safari Park Hotel for overnight.


Nairobi City
NAIROBI
Nairobi is the largest city in East Africa.  It began as a shanty town depot of the East African Railroad in 1899.  In almost 100 years it has become one of the major cities of modern Africa and a headquarters of the United Nations.  It is a vibrant and growing city - a mosaic of many races and cultures.  It boasts 11 golf courses and a wide variety of excellent restaurants.





The Jacaranda Hotel is just minutes from the city center and lies in one of Kenya's largest and still growing shopping centres - Westlands.  The hotel has refurbished its rooms with ensuite bathrooms, installed satellite TV and in-house movies for your entertainment and a 24-hour room service.They have also redone their two restaurants and three bars including the swimming pool.103 Rooms.










DAY 2


At the appointed time, you will drive in a 4WD or Minibus vehicle towards Rift Valley Region. Play golf in the afternoon at Rift Valley Golf Club. Overnight at Great Rift Valley Lodge.


RIFT VALLEY
The Rift Valley is the greatest valley in the world, a continental fault system that stretches from the Dead Sea all the way to Mozambique.In Kenya it passes from Lake Turkana in the north to Lake Magadi in the south.  In between there are a series of lakes e.g. Baringo, Bogoria, Nakuru, Elementeita and Naivasha. Lake Bogoria, Nakuru and Elementeita boast millions of flamingoes, which is a spectacular sight. Volcanic activities left their mark in the Rift Valley and can be found in form of half submerged islands, giant calderas and the distinctive cone shapes which dot the landscape as well as dormant volcanoes.The Rift Valley evokes a sense of immense mystery and the power of time.

RIFT VALLEY LODGE & GOLF RESORT
Just an hour and a half from Nairobi, lies the Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort, the latest addition in the Rift Valley. 5940 yards – par 72 – 18 holes
Very popular over the weekends among the local golfers, the course has spectacular settings and a challenging character.  The first player to break the 71 par here, the Irish professional David Jones, described it as the best young course he had ever played on.






DAY 3
Enjoy a boat safari at Lake Naivasha. Overnight at Great Rift Valley Lodge.


LAKE  NAIVASHA
  BOAT SAFARI  

Twenty minutes drive through wild African Bush land will take you to Lake Naivasha for your one hour boat safari. While sitting in a motorized Canoe you will see a prolific wild and bird life along the shores of this fresh water lake. Hippos are the most obvious, but along the shore line you might see buffaloes, impala, waterbuck and Thomson gazelle. Kingfishers, hundreds of pelicans swimming together, yellow billed duck, different kinds of ibis and many other rare birds can be a admired. The captain of the boat is a conservationist and very knowledgeable.

DAY 4 
At the appointed time, you will drive towards Nakuru. Afternoon gamedrive.
Overnight at Mbweha Camp.

Nakuru National Park - "Bird
Watchers' Paradise..."

Lake
Nakuru is a very shallow strongly alkaline lake 62 km2 in extent. It is set in a picturesque landscape of surrounding woodland and grassland next to Nakuru town. The landscape includes areas of marsh and grasslands alternating with rocky cliffs and outcrops, stretches of acacia woodland and rocky hillsides covered with a Euphorbia forest on the eastern perimeter.

   
  
The lake catchment is bounded by Menengai crater to the north, the Bahati hills to the north east, the lion hill ranges to the east, eburu crater to the south and the mau escarpment to the west. Three major rivers, the njoro, makalia and enderit drain into the lake, together with the outflow from several springs along the shore.Lake Nakuru was first gazetted as a bird sanctuary in 1960 and upgraded to National Park status in 1968. A northern extension was added to the park in 1974 and the lake was designated as a Ramsar site in 1990. The foundation of the parks food chains is the cyanophyte spirulina platensis which can support huge numbers of lesser flamingo.

LOCATION:
Central Kenya, 140km north-west of Nairobi, in Nakuru District of the Rift Valley Province. It covers an area of 188 km2.

MAJOR ATTRACTIONS
  1. Millions of Flamingos (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds including Pelicans and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering about 450 species in total.
  2. Mammals: 56 different species including white rhinos, Giraffes and Waterbucks.
  3. Unique vegetation: About 550 different plant species including the unique and biggest euphorbia forest in Africa. Picturesque landscape and yellow acacia woodlands.
MBWEHA CAMP NAKURU

Tucked away in the spectacular vastness of The Great Rift Valley on a private 6400 acre Congreve Conservancy, Mbweha Camp is nestled up against the southern border of Lake Nakuru National Park with beautiful views of the Eburu and Mau Ranges . 10 cottages built of lava stone and thatched makuti roof add glamour and style to its contemporary African ambience. Every cottage is surrounded by Candelabra Euphobia, yellow barked Acacia and other indigenous trees that provide a relaxed atmosphere as you listen to the African night sounds of a lion roar or the laughter of the hyena in the distance. - Bush walks - night game drives- sundowners - bush breakfast - hot air ballooning over the spectacular Great Rift Valley and the lakes below are additional activities that you can enjoy and enhance your stay in truly remarkable and authentic African setting.

DAY 5

At the appointed time, you will drive towards Nyeri. Play Golf in the afternoon at Nyeri Golf Club. Overnight at Outspan Golf and Country Club.


THE OUTSPAN GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB


Outspan in Nyeri is a gracious, solid and comfortable hotel.It is set with views of the snow-capped Mount Kenya and framed by the white waters of the Chania River. The new eight rooms in the Chania wing are wood paneled with a fireplace, balcony, satellite TV and a mini bar.  They also have a bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower.  Breakfast and lunch are served on a wide veranda with views of the mountain.  Evening dinner is served in a baronial style dining room.  Lord Baden Powell, the founder of Scouting spent the last three years of his life here.  His rooms are kept as a small museum and scouts and guides from all over the world visit his shrine.  Sporting activities at the Outspan include trout fishing, squash, tennis and a snooker room.

There is also a 9-hole golf course.  44 rooms and swimming pool.



NYERI GOLF CLUB *****

NYERI011-smNyeri Sports Club is the second oldest course in the country, founded in 1910. This 9-hole course is laid out in a superb setting and offers exquisite scenery. While standing on the tee of the 6th, Mt Kenya can be seen looming above the green giving a breathtaking view of nature in all its glory. The greens are well bunkered with both sand and grass traps. The roughs are the highest you will find anywhere as the layout skirts around a thick forest of very tall evergreens. Add to this mixture a stream and a valley, and you have the recipe for a difficult game of golf. Nyeri's golf course is very pretty indeed and highly recommended for play for the ardent and the family golfer.

DAY 6
Play a round of Golf at Nyeri Golf Club. Overnight at Outspan Golf and Country Club.

DAY 7
At the appointed time, you will drive towards Mount Kenya region. Afternoon gamedrive. Overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp.

MOUNT KENYA & THE ABERDARES REGION
These two neighbouring areas are in the Central Highlands of Kenya and have an amazing geography of contrast.  The deep green of cultivated farmland gives way to the purple-gray scrub grass of high ranches where cattle, sheep and plains game graze.   The mountain ranges are covered with forests with hidden trout streams.  In the centre is the Mt. Kenya (5189m) - among the world's largest freestanding volcanic mountains. 
The equator crosses the northern slopes of the Mt. Kenya at 3350 meters.   At the equator slight variations of altitude create enormous changes in both climate and landscape causing diverse weather changes.  You can pass from the cool misty forest of the Aberdares to the dry Laikipia Plateau scenery offers different choices to the traveler in terms of places to stay and activities.  185 kms to the Aberdares and 250 kms to Mount Kenya from Nairobi.

Sweetwaters Tented Camp lies in the heart of 24,000-acre Sweetwaters Game Reserve, with magnificent views across the plains to the snow capped peaks of Mount Kenya. The 30 luxury tents overlook the waterhole, floodlit by night, providing excellent and secluded rarely seen game viewing. This game sanctuary is the closest reserve to Nairobi (2.5 hours drive) home to all the big five game, and has the highest ratio of game-to-area of any park or reserve in Kenya. At Sweetwaters, there is plenty to do.Game drives at Sweetwaters are indeed a pleasure. Game viewing may also take the form of game walks accompanied by our Resident Naturalist, and game rides on horseback. Camel riding, night game drives and “bush” lunches or dinners are a delight. The Chimpanzee Sanctuary & Information Centre, Morani the tame black rhino and the Visitor’s Information Centre are most informative and entertaining and should all be visited while in the Game Reserve.


DAY 8

At the appointed time, you will drive back to Nairobi. Overnight at Safari Park Hotel.


SAFARI PARK HOTEL*****

This is a luxurious inland resort, located 20 minutes from the heart of Nairobi on 64 acres of landscaped gardens; it is rich with exotic African trees, plants and birds. The buildings are of a unique traditional African style with modern convenience. It features a 2,000 sq. Meter tropical swimming pool, the largest in Africa. The spacious rooms, with hand carved 4-poster beds and luxurious bathrooms (Italian marble, hairdryers, mini bar and television) are more than comfortable. DAY 9

Play golf at Muthaiga Golf Club. Overnight at Safari Park Hotel.

MUTHAIGA GOLF CLUB*****

6801 yards - par 72 - 18 holes.
Muthaiga Golf Club lies at the edge of Karura forest and sport many indigenous trees. A variety of trees and flowering bushes not only come into play  on almost every hole, but also make this course one of the prettiest to  play. The layout is beautiful and one that has many challenges in store  for both the regular and the visiting golfer. Home of the Kenya Open Golf Championship until 2004 - part of the European PGA. Past winners include Ballesteros, Woosnam, Canizaes en Maarten Lafeber. Beware of the bunkers in the front of the fastest  greens in East Africa. The course is very well maintained and a pleasure  to play. Muthaiga Golf Club  has undergone a complete reconstruction of its course by course architect Peter Matkovich, who also designed the Arabella Golf Club in South Africa. Muthaiga is now again the leading course in Kenya and East Africa for professional golf tournaments and avid golfers alike.

DAY 10
Play golf a Sigona Golf Club. Overnight at Safari Park Hotel.

SIGONA GOLF CLUB *****
6892 yards par 72 - 18 holes
Sigona Golf Club has a fine reputation for having some of the most beautiful fairways in Kenya. Sitting near the Rift Valley at an altitude of 6,600  feet (2200m), Sigona receives more than average rainfall. The Kikuyu grass keeps the course looking lush and verdant year round. The green keeper tells: ''any player can use almost any golf club, from his driver to his sand wedge, off these fairways''. The course is very hilly and most of the eighteen tees are elevated. It is one course that will definitely test your golf skills along with your physical conditioning.  Sigona provides tough but very pleasant 18 holes of golf.

DAY 11

At the appointed time you will be transferred to the Airport for your flight to the next destination.
