Yesterday, Iain Pyman from England  won the Tusker Kenya Open 2008: Africa’s only European Challenge Tour Event at Karen Golf & Country Club in Nairobi.

The first prize was € 28.800 out of total prize kitty of € 180.000. Iain Pyman played a par 71 in the first round, 63 or 8 under par in the second and 70 and 68 respectively in the third and final rounds for a total of minus 12 for an aggregate of 272. This was 3 shots better than the runner-up Thomas Feyrsinger from Austria who won € 19.800.

President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Designate Raila Odinga walked the last 6 holes together, following the leaders of the tournament. In their prize giving speeches they encouraged the players to become ambassadors of goodwill and to market Kenya back home not only as a peaceful country, but also as a prime tourism destination with beautiful attractions.

There were a total of 150 professionals from 26 different countries and the tournament was a great success, less than two weeks after the two leaders signed a deal to share power, mediated by Kofi Annan.

Lastly, it is with great pleasure, resending you our very special peace deals, which are valid until the 30th of June and will never come back!

Looking forward to hosting your clients as our guests!

Kind regards,
